Character Reboot: The 12 Olympians - Hephaestus

Name: Hephaestus
God/Goddess of: Fire and The Forge
Symbol(s):  Fire, The Anvil, The Axe, The Donkey, The Hammer, The Tongs, and the Quail
Bio: Master Blacksmith and Craftsman of the Gods. Upon discovering the circumstances of Athena's birth from Zeus, his Queen, Hera took it upon herself to bare her own child without him, as such, while the method she chose remains unknown, Hera gave birth to Hephaestus in revenge for Zeus's supposed betrayal of her trust, albeit Athena's conception was BEFORE Zeus and Hera were together. As a Master of the Forge, Hephaestus made all the weapons of the gods in Olympus, including Hermes's winged helmet and sandals. What's more, while the circumstances of their marriage were arranged by Zeus, Hephaestus, unlike most Gods, is considered quite the devoted husband despite the fact that his wife, Aphrodite, partook in multiple affairs behind his back with numerous partners, including Ares, the God of War, and Poseidon, God of the Sea.
