Character Reboot: The 12 Olympians - Zeus

God/Goddess of: The Heavens, Lightning, Thunder, Law, Order, and Justice
Symbol(s):  The Thunderbolt, The Eagle, The Oak Tree, and The Scales
Bio: King of the gods, Husband of Hera, youngest brother of Poseidon and Hades and ruler of Mount Olympus. Eons ago, after defeating their predecessors, the Titans, the gods divided the Universe among themselves, three of the most notable being Zeus, who claimed the Heavens, Poseidon, who took dominion over the oceans, and Hades, who was left with ruling the Underworld upon being tricked by Zeus. In regards to his marriage to Hera, long before their union she actually refused Zeus's marriage proposal at first, however Zeus then preyed on her empathy for animals and other beings, transformed himself into a small cuckoo, who then pretended to be in distress while perched outside her window. Feeling pity towards the frail bird, Hera brought it inside her chambers and held it to her breast to warm it, but then Zeus then transformed back into his true form and took advantage of her. It was only then that Hera, ashamed of being exploited, agreed to her marriage with Zeus. Of course, despite his love for Hera, Zeus never remained faithful and as such has often wandered between the realms and took many lovers, both mortal and deity alike, many of which resulted in godly and heroic offspring, including...

It was due to these adulterous acts that he was titled "Father of the Gods" , a sentiment that brought upon many events involving Hera’s jealous rage, and as his title would imply, Zeus ascertained that each deity perform their individual duty, punished their misdeeds, settled their disputes, and acted towards them on all occasions as their all-knowing counselor and mighty friend.
